Cotton Boll Quilters meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Auburn. We have several sub-groups: a morning and evening birthday block group, an applique group. Our meetings often include a hands-on program,and show and tell which is a hightlight in our meetings. There are frequent workshops; we make quilts for the local women's shelter, the local hospice facility, and others as the need arises. Blount County Quilters Guild The purpose of our guild is to promote and preserve the art and quality of quilts and quilting, through friendship, knowledge and encouragement to others. We meet Tuesdays and Thursdays 10-2 and the Second and fourth Saturdays 10-2, in the Quilter's Cottage, located at Palisades Park, Oneonta, Alabama. Membership dues are $18 the first year, which includes a membership pin, and then $12 each year after that. We offer a family membership price for family members living in the same household. We offer classes to members each month, work on a fund raiser quilt to be raffled off, and a membership quilt to be drawn for each year. We have 58 members who participate in making quilts for the local fire departments and police departments for children in crisis situations and we give quilts to a local Pregancy Crisis center.
