St. Croix International Quilters' Guild (a chapter of Pine Tree Quilters Guild of Maine) has about 40 members from the St. Croix Valley area of Washington County, Maine and Charlotte County, New Brunswick, Canada. We meet the first and third Wednesdays of the month (6:00 on the first Wed. and 7:00 on the 3rd Wed.) at the Calais Methodist Homes Recreation Hall on Palmer Street. Our meetings feature have Block of the Month, Fabric Drawings, Show & Tell, programs and workshops. We sponsor a quilt show every other year. Visitors and new members welcome. - Cornish.
VALLEY NEEDLER'S. We currently have about 15 members who pay $21 a year in dues. Part of our dues cover membership in the Maine Quilt Guild. We meet at 7:00 pm on the second and last Wednesdays of the month at the Congregational Church across from the Library in Cornish. Our programs are varied. We are the Northern Neighbors Quilters, a chapter of the Pine Tree Quilters Guild. We meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month except July at 1:00pm at the Municipal Building. Moosehead Quilters. Founded in the summer of 2003, we have grown to over 44 members hailing from Rockwood to Lily Bay on the shores of scenic Moosehead Lake in Maine. We meet twice monthly throughout the year. Business meetings are held on the first Monday of the month at 7 pm. Workshops are held on the third Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm. Every meeting includes a 'show and tell' session where members and visitors display and admire current projects or new techniques. Friends and Needles Quilt Guild. We have over 100 members who pay $16 a year in dues. We meet at 6:30 PM on the First Wednesday of the month at the Community Education Center of the Houlton Regional Hospital. We have a Sister Guild in Lakeland, FL called Ladies of the Lake Guild. We have fat quarter swaps, classes and trips, a yearly raffle quilt to benefit our scholarships, a local Project Linus chapter, and we do a show every year. Ocean Waves Quilters. We have about 20 members. Our dues are $12/year. We meet weekly at the Orr's Island Methodist Church. We have teachers come in once or twice a year. we do a quilt show every year. Starry Night Stitchers. We have a small, informal group that meets every Tuesday evening from 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm. In the winter we meet at Norway Savings Bank in South Paris and in the summer we meet at Garden Gate Quilting studio in Norway. We bring our sewing machines and work on different projects. Come Spring Quilters. Meetings are held from 7-9 p.m.at the Peoples United Methodist Church in Union on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month (except in Nov,Dec,July &August when we just meet the 2nd Thursday). Our chapter was formed in 1990 and is a local chapter of the Pine Tree Quilters Guild, a statewide quilting organization.
