Michigan Quilt Network. We are a statewide non-profit organization whose goals are to promote quilting through communication, education and preservation. We have a membership of around 800 quilters. Our state is divided into five regions. Each region has meetings throughout the year with all regions coming together for our yearly Showcase convention. Yearly dues are $20 and each member receives a Directory which lists Michigan guilds, quilt shops, teachers, long arm quilters and museums, and six issues of our newsletter and a membership pin.

    The Gone-to-Pieces Quilt Guild of Alpena has over 100 members who pay $20 a year in dues. We meet the first Thursday of the month at St. Paul's , 727 South 2nd Avenue, Alpena. We are a very busy guild, we complete one queen size raffle quilt each year to benefit the homeless, over 25 baby quilts are donated each year, classes, lectures, bees and a yearly camp are a few of our activities.     The Evening Star Quilters have approximately 150 members who pay yearly dues of $30.00, with seniors paying $25.00 a year, and new members are always welcome. The Evening Star Quilters encourages visits from guests and invites them to take part in two regular meetings free of charge before becoming a member. In the event that a speaker is scheduled during the time of a visit, applicable presentation fees would apply in order to participate. If further attendance is desired thereafter, individuals are welcome to join the guild as a member.     The Needle Rules! Society is an African American quilt guild in Detroit. Annual dues are $25.00. The guild meets on the third Saturday of each month from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at a gallery. TNRS was commissioned by the Underground Railroad Committee of Detroit 300 to construct three of the four quilts used to drape/unveil one of the international monuments dedicated to the Underground Railroad at a ceremony in 2001. We make quilts for local children's wards and demonstrate at community events.

    Lansing Area Patchers, Membership limited to 70 members who pay dues of $15 a year. We meet the first Thursday of the month at Bretton Woods Covenant Church, 925 Bretton Rd., Lansing, MI 48917. We have a guild library for members and several times a year we have nationally known speakers and workshops. For fun, the membership is alphabetically divided in half to challenge each other to complete their "UFO'S". Whichever group earns the highest number of points gets to be first in line at the June potluck. We have a quilt show on the "even" years with a raffle quilt in order to display the talents of all members as well as earn money for supplies to make quilts for charity.     Midland Quilters Squared. 45+ crazy quilters who meet the second Tuesday of Sept-June. Our dues are $15.00. We meet at 6:30-7:00 for Social and then 7:00 till we drop for Program.     Romeo Peaches & Patches. We meet at 7pm on the second Monday of the month at the Romeo Senior Activity Center. We pay $10 and a fat quarter each year in dues. We do challenges, swaps, block of the month, and classes. We do "Kid's Quilts" and "Memory Envelopes" as service projects. We have a show every other year to benefit the Senior Center.

    Piecemakers Quilt Guild of Saginaw, Michigan, is an evening guild which meets the third Wednesday of each month 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Second Presbyterian Church, 2665 Midland Road, Saginaw, Michigan. Piecemakers Quilt Guild was established in 1981 with 12 quilters and has steadily grown to more than 250 members. We are a non-profit group serving the Saginaw Valley and surrounding communities. Our members range from beginners to nationally known quilters with published books and award winning quilts.  Our purpose is to promote quilting by presenting quilt-related educational programs.
