The Australian Quilters Association meets the first Monday of each month (except January) in the Uniting Church Hall, Valonia Avenue, Surrey Hills. At meetings we have local and interstate speakers. Our newsletter is published monthly. We have 300+ members. We hold biennial Exhibitions, and Symposia, and make regular donations of quilts to needy groups in the community. Visitors are welcome. West Australian Quilters’ Association Inc. Location: Sewing Days, 3rd Tuesday of the month, 10am – 3 pm; Sewing Nights, 3 Wednesday of the month, 7pm – 9.45 pm; Stirling Adriatic Centre, 78 Jones Street, Stirling. We have over 700 members, both in Perth and regional areas in WA, who pay $50 a year in dues. We meet monthly for a sewing day and evening, cost $5. General meetings every other month with a guest speaker, 7.30 pm start, no entry fee, at Stirling Adriatic Centre. We have classes, workshops, retreats, raffle quilts, annual Shop Hop, annual quilt show (Quiltwest), challenge quilts, active community quilts for charities and hospitals and other organizations. Tasmanian Quilting Guild Members from throughout the Australian state of Tasmania and a few from interstate and overseas. Most members are also members of quilting groups in their community or region. There is an annual member-only guild exhibition and a biennial art quilt prize open to Australians. We are a group of stitchers who meet regularly on a Tuesday at Gippstitch in Warragul to stitch up a storm, enjoy classes and workshops, take fabric trips and make quilts for charity and enjoy each other’s company with well-organized retreat weekends. Waikato Patchworkers and Quilters Guild meets every 2nd Saturday Feb-Dec at 12.30 pm at the St Albans Church Hall, Chartwell, Hamilton. Annual membership is $25.00. We have 160 members. At each guild has a guest speaker, Merchant, Raffles, Block of the month draw, technique Time, Sit and Stitch group and an extensive library.
