Fiber Arts Weekend in Cooperstown NY

Fiber Arts Weekend returns to The Farmers’ Museum. Visitors will find a variety of demonstrations, exhibits, sales, and hand-on activities of spinning, weaving, knitting, quilting, and other textile related activities will be occurring throughout the museum both days. Those participating in the weekend event include members from the Fenimore Quilt Club, Susquehanna Valley Quilters, The Golden Fleece Spinners’ Society, Butternut Valley Spinners, Cherry Valley Spinners and Fiber Artists, and many additional talented individuals. Exhibitors will have items to sell including chenille scarves, quilts, wool and alpaca products, as well as pottery, and other local crafts. Our own museum interpreters will be demonstrating a variety of textile techniques, as well as providing hands-on activities for visitors. Todd’s General Store will have a variety of woven items available for sale that have been made by the museum’s textile interpreters.
Admission: $15 adults (13-64), $12.50 seniors (65+), $6 juniors (7-12), children 6 and younger and museum members are free. Purchase tickets at the museum on the day of the event. Free museum admission is also available for those receiving SNAP benefits (up to 4 people) with the presentation of a SNAP Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card.
