SUMMARY:Fiber Arts Weekend in Cooperstown NY
DESCRIPTION:Fiber Arts Weekend returns to The Farmers’ Museum. Visitors will find a variety of demonstrations\, exhibits\, sales\, and hand-on activities of spinning\, weaving\, knitting\, quilting\, and other textile related activities will be occurring throughout the museum both days.  Those participating in the weekend event include members from the Fenimore Quilt Club\, Susquehanna Valley Quilters\, The Golden Fleece Spinners’ Society\, Butternut Valley Spinners\, Cherry Valley Spinners and Fiber Artists\, and many additional talented individuals. Exhibitors will have items to sell including chenille scarves\, quilts\, wool and alpaca products\, as well as pottery\, and other local crafts. Our own museum interpreters will be demonstrating a variety of textile techniques\, as well as providing hands-on activities for visitors. Todd’s General Store will have a variety of woven items available for sale that have been made by the museum’s textile interpreters. \n\n\n\nAdmission: $15 adults (13-64)\, $12.50 seniors (65+)\, $6 juniors (7-12)\, children 6 and younger and museum members are free. Purchase tickets at the museum on the day of the event. Free museum admission is also available for those receiving SNAP benefits (up to 4 people) with the presentation of a SNAP Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card. \n\n\n\nVisit Fenimore Art Museum on the same day–located just across the street! Get two great museums for one low price when you purchase a two-way ticket for $25 or $22.50 seniors. Two-way tickets can be purchased at the admissions desk of either museum. See Fenimore’s popular summer exhibitions featuring M.C. SUMMARY:Buzzing along the Towpath Quilt Show in Syracuse NY
DESCRIPTION:Help us celebrate the 200th anniversary of our namesake Erie Canal and its Towpath at the 2025 Towpath Quilt Guild Show! Our show is being held in beautiful Cazenovia NY\, and we encourage attendees to spend time in the village after taking in the inspirational quilts at our show. We will also be offering demonstrations on techniques and the latest quilting equipment from our members and vendors. Please see the vendor list below. The Boutique will be filled with handmade goods and supplies for your own creativity. There will be a scissors sharpening pro on site so that attendees can drop their scissors and then take in the show! \n\n\n\nA Quilt Show isn’t complete without raffles! We will be raffling off our stunning quilt. \n\n\n\nIn addition\, there will be many baskets offered\, and Quilter’s Consortium of NYS members will be able to put their ticket in for a basket loaded with kits. (You do not need to be present to win.) \n\n\n\nAs we will be unable to provide food at the site of the show\, please plan accordingly. Attendees will be provided with a list of recommended restaurants in the area.
