Dakota County Star Quilters is based in the south metro of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN. We are a welcoming and fun group who share a love of quilting and fabric arts. We typically have 60-80 members, and new members are always welcome! In our monthly meetings, we have guest speakers, we work on community projects, we learn new skills from one another, and we love our show and tells and getting to see all the beautiful projects that our guild sewists make! And several times each year we get together for food and fun with a summer picnic and winter potluck.
Each Spring we host an annual quilt show at the Dakota Historical Society, and each fall we offer a great retreat. To learn more, please visit our website, join us for a meeting, or reach out to our membership chair (below).
We meet at the Eagan Community Center, 3830 Pilot Knob Road, Eagan, MN 55122, on a Tuesday night each month; each meeting is about 2 hours. The meeting starts at 7 but people start arriving at 6:30 for social time. When possible, we do have ways to join in via zoom, especially during the winter months when some of our members head south. The meeting is structured as follows: announcements, a speaker or topic and show and tell. All are welcome regardless of your skill level. Join in and share ideas and the love of quilting.
Visitors – Visitors are welcome! The first meeting you attend is free. Subsequent visits cost $5 to help cover cost of the space and continuing programs. We hope you will consider joining the guild, it is $36 a year and a great value!
Directions: The community center is off of Pilot Knob Road between Lone Oak Road and Yankee Doodle Road in Eagan. Turn west off of Pilot Knob onto Center Parkway. Follow the Center Parkway to the sign for the Eagan Community Center and turn right. Follow the signs for “all deliveries” which is the second right turn. The road will wind around to the lower level of the parking lot. Enter through the lower level door and look for the sign indicating our meeting room, normally the second door on the left. If you park on the main level and enter from the main entrance, you will take the elevator or stairs down.
To learn more, please reach out to Trisha Millonig, our membership and quilt show chair (Trisha Millonig ).

Martha’s Cupboard is about serving God and helping others through the art of quilting. I am a third-generation quilter. The gift I have inherited from my grandmother and through my mother, I want to use to minister to others. Our quilts wrap love around new babies, shut ins, the ill and recovering. We pray as we sew: For those who will receive the quilts and for the needs of one another as we are quilting. Any woman can work on quilts with Martha’s Cupboard, no experience necessary! All you need to have is a willingness to learn and a desire to help others. Please come join us every Thursday morning at 9AM at the Maranatha Assembly of God Church. Twice a year, we host a quilting “mini” retreat from Friday evening to Saturday. A particular quilt pattern is taught or you can bring your own project. Looking forward to sharing my love of quilting with you, Wanda Hawkins (651) 462-5909
